Our skirts made with Manila shawls are a house icon. At ROOM 717, we reclaim this signature product, the Manila shawl, and bring it to a more modern and contemporary level by transforming this hand-embroidered and fringed silk into a sarong skirt that you can wear on a multitude of occasions, beyond trade shows and events.
The Jupe Encens
A cream-colored piece whose name alludes to the orange blossom, the favorite scent of Seville in spring.
Sarong skirt made with a hand-embroidered and fringed Manila shawl in navy blue silk with matching flowers and fringes. It closes with a zipper and snap fastener.
Editors' tip
A very versatile skirt that you can wear day or night. Its intense blue color is the perfect alternative to the usual black and is equally elegant and sophisticated. The Encens Skirt pairs beautifully with white shirts and gold accessories.
Composition:
100% silk. Acetate lining.
Care:
- Being a silk piece, it needs dry cleaning.
- It can be ironed inside out and at medium temperature.
- To ensure the fringes look perfect, simply hang the skirt for a few days before wearing it, and the fringe, being made of silk, will stretch out on its own.
- If we haven't taken it out and the fringe is wrinkled, it can be ironed with a hair straightener, section by section, at a low temperature.
- The best way to store the skirt is to roll it into a roll and store it in a box or drawer, protected by tissue paper or in a cloth bag.
